We want to hear your ideas for our new walk through….

You may have noticed work going on to link the old part of Uptown Station with the new part.

This will be a covered walk through, with vendors, seats and great entertainment. We may theme it like an old railroad station.  It will let you visit all the great stores in both sections of Uptown Station and link Central Park and the Flagpole, kids playground and fountains, with J G Plaza, Central Bark (the dog park) and all the great news stores and restaurants that are coming soon.

What would you call the walk through?  We’ve thought of Uptown Connection, Traders passage, and loads of others, but we think you may have some wonderful ideas.

    UPTOWN CENTRAL PASSAGE

Just another comment I think there needs to be a gated area around the playground.(like from the brick seating areas connecting each one). I have a 3 year old she is good about staying in the grass area. But sometime when she is running thru the play area i get nervous she may cross into the close parking lot. The parking/drive area is so close this would not give me enough time to catch her before running into the drive way. I see cars zipping by real fast all the time. Thanks

Whistle Stop Station! Google train terms and you will find junction, loop, and many others. If you consider the breezeway a “station” or “stop” you can paint tracks in the new J.G. Plaza and name the different loops of track. And the train can take the kids to our Santa’s Workshop opening on December 12th! – Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge

Actually, I guess it should be “Whistle Stop” without the “station”

I like Deb’s idea of Whistle Stop.
Maybe “Whistle Stop Depot” would be a good name, since a train depot is a station, stop, or passing-through point for passengers and freight/goods.
The new walk-through fits that description!

      …Or Uptown Depot.
